New Junior section for Otley AC starting 9th April 2008
Training
Sessions:
8-13 year old training is
held on:
Wednesdays, 6:30p.m.

RUFC pitches behind Stephen Smith’s on Pool Road, Otley
At present there is no
dedicated session for 14 and 15 year olds but we plan to hold these in the
future.
Joining Otley AC Juniors:
All abilities are welcome to
attend the sessions. We have to charge £1 per session to cover charges for
venues and equipment. This is in addition to yearly membership charges £5 (
8-11 years) and £10 (11-16 years) which also include a license to compete
in UK athletics events. Non-members are welcome to try a couple of sessions
before committing to yearly membership.

What to Wear:
Loose fitting sports clothing
such as t-shirts and shorts or tracksuit bottoms. A good pair of trainers.
Light waterproof jacket for outdoor sessions if it is raining. Don’t forget
to bring some water to drink as well.
What Will We Do?:
Training will be in running (sprints, fell running,
cross country), jumps (long
jump, triple jump) and throws
(javelin, shot put, hammer, discus).
